"Michelle, play the harp music arrangements any way that you like. I trust you completely..."
Don Costa, Arranger for Frank Sinatra, Sr.
As a Northern California Bay Area harpist, Michelle plays harp music for public, private, corporate, and non-profit events, including concerts, theater, wedding ceremonies, wedding receptions, production shows, and recording albums.
Her styles are diverse and extensive, ranging from Bach to Cole Porter. She is also an award winning "pops" and jazz Bay Area harpist. Having studied classical music with Marcella DeCray at the San Francisco Conservatory, she is not only an alumna, but a former faculty member. Michelle's original harp music compositions have been used on television, radio, and in motion pictures and remains a composer for Omni Music in New York. Michelle can perform as a soloist or in ensemble with saxophone, bass, flute, cello, violin, guitar, or voice, for your wedding, holiday event, tea, fundraiser, birthday party, wedding reception, retirement party, or memorial service. Frequently - as she did recently accompanying an opera singer in "Ave Maria" at a wedding - Michelle uses a Camac electro-acoustic (amplified) harp. This allows the harp to be heard clearly in venues with just a few people or in large churches or auditoriums - or even outdoors - and is provided at no extra charge. Not just a San Francisco Bay Area harpist, Michelle has performed for the Queen and King of Thailand, the Grand Duke and Duchess of Luxembourg, former President Jimmy Carter, Academy Award winning director Francis Ford Coppola, rock star Sammy Hagar, and former SF 49'er quarterback Steve Young. Since 1977, Michelle has played thousands of professional engagements.
